To get there: A9 motorway to Vevey. Then Saint-Légier, Blonay and direction Les Pléiades. Shortly before Les Pléiades, descend towards the Pautex car park. Possibility to park here for free or 200 m higher towards (see map) a picnic area at the crossroads of the road leading to Saint-Hélène and the one that goes up to the mountain pasture of La Neuve.

Route that makes us visit almost the whole valley of Fégire and leads us to the foot of the Vanil des Artses, the Pila and the Col de Soladier. In the season of their flowering, you will undoubtedly have the chance to admire the narcissus that you will find here and there in the pastures.

We parked at the intersection of the roads which lead for the first to the mountain pasture of La Neuve and for the second to the chalet Saint-Hélène. And it is by the latter that we began our hike. We followed this road to the bottom of the valley. We took the road that leads to Petit Caudon for a distance of a hundred meters and we branched off to the left to descend towards the Guedères footbridge and join the Friborg side. 

This discovery hike of the valley on the Vaud side and Friborg side does not present any difficulty except that the majority of the route is on mountain roads. Therefore, and I know that there are people who do not like walking on asphalt, this route is not recommended for lovers of traditional trails. It should however be noted that the descent (by a dirt path) which begins between the place called "Les Crêtes" and Les Joncs has many steps, so be careful! The ascent on the Vaud side can be done by two different routes in its second part. Indeed, after the junction with a forest road, you can continue straight by the shortcut or make the loop along the road, this last option lengthens the route, but will take you through a small pond.
